For a recent project in Aurora, Ohio, one of our customers selected a no climb fence to safely contain their dogs while maintaining the natural look of their wooded, rural property. They needed a solution that was both cost-effective for fencing in a large area and visually suited to their country setting.
We began by installing a strong round wood post framework as the foundation for the no climb fence. This included 6" diameter posts for corners, ends, and gates, 5" diameter line posts spaced 10 feet apart, and 4" diameter posts used for horizontal bracing. This layout provided excellent structural support while preserving the rustic look the customer desired.
Next, we attached the no climb dog fence to the fence posts. Traditionally, this type of mesh is installed on the inside of the posts to keep staples from loosening over time—particularly when large farm animals press against the fence. However, since this fence was designed exclusively for dogs, our customer preferred the mesh on the outside for a cleaner, more open appearance. With no concern for heavy livestock, strength was not compromised.
To complete the project, we installed three 10-foot-wide farm gates with expanded wire mesh infill to match the no climb wire fence, providing easy access for lawnmowers, trailers, and other equipment.
